-News/Release-

Skin Trade Recordings is proud to announce two new releases for 2017. Both of these releases are available here.

Blankets-The Wound Of The Parent Is The Trauma Of The Child CS
Edition of 50

We at Skin Trade are beyond excited to present the poignant and arresting new audio work from Sasha Ford's project Blankets. Listed below is a brief description from the artist of both her process and intent involving the recent recordings.
"Where does memory sit when it exceeds what the body is capable of retaining? That which remains unresolved will persist, cast onto others without being given proper history. Yet persistence does not mean fixity--looseness and renewal are always there, swelling slowly. The Wound of the Parent Is the Trauma of the Child by Blankets conducts its work in industrial ambiance and inadvertent collage, combining minimalist monophonic synthesis, found samples, and manipulated vocalizations to produce an abrasive and ephemeral meditation on memory, melancholia, and healing."

Blankets is about to embark on a few week tour of New Zealand promoting the release.
